Reppin TKE

// June 28th, 2009 // No Comments » // Life

If you didn’t already know, I’m greek. No, not ethnically, but as in being in a fraternity. More specifically, I’m a TKE. (Pronounced TEEK) Tau Kappa Epsilon, at Oakland University.

So anyone going to college, going greek is an amazing decision, but joining TKE would be the best decision you’ve ever made! ;)

Weekend was Ignited…

// March 22nd, 2009 // No Comments » // Uncategorized

It’s been a pretty good weekend so far, I think anyway. Friday was basically spent going to class, giving a tour, then the highlights started. Went to a Detroit Ignition game with Josh, and that was really fun. I knew I liked watching soccer, but not this much. The 2.5 hours that we were there seemed like only 45 minutes or so. We won, which was cool. Anyway, after Josh and I went to Tom’s for the night. Low-Key event, but it was really fun. I wish I didn’t pass out after getting back from McDonalds, though. :(

Anyway, Saturday I went home to see the ‘rents. Step Dad got me an oil change and a tank of gas…weee!! We went to Gibraltar Trade Center…man that place has become run down since I went there last. So many trashy people buying and selling. After that, we went to Gormans and Marshalls, but didn’t find anything for our kitchen table hut, so we went to a restaurant. I don’t remember the exact name of it, besides the fact that it had like “Firehouse” in the name or something. Got some buffalo baby back ribs, those were good. :)

After, drove to Tom’s for round two…this time it was high-key….and I paced myself. (haha) Everything turned out well…

Sunday: Greek Day! (Basically….)

Grades, Winter Break and Looking Ahead…

// December 21st, 2008 // No Comments » // Life

Finally, the grades were posted for Fall 2008! I’m currently recieving a dismal 2.79 cumulative GPA so far. Thanks alot History and Chemistry. It’s okay though, I know I’m really going to love my classes next semester and pull off (what I estimated to be) a 3.789. That would be fantastic. So, yeah.

Anyways, I’m sitting here in the nice 70 degree weather at my dads. I got back from Cincinnati on Wednesday and left to come here Thursday. Visiting Alissa was a shit-load of fun, and I had a great time going to see things in Cincinnati, eating some great food, meeting new people and spending the night with Ben in G-Town. (Germantown, OH lol) I think Alissa has pretty much confirmed that she’s coming up here for New Years, we can go to Bleu! Woohoo!

I think I finally had my first negative experience with the airline industry. I took the cheap way out and got the tickets through American Airlines. If I knew then what I know now, I would have stuck it out with good ole’ Northwest; they’ve always been pretty good to me. Anyways, I had to fly to O’Hare before making my way to ATL. We left late from Detroit to O’Hare, then stopped multiple times on the taramac before finally making it to the gate. Needless to say, I had seven minutes to reenact “that one scene” from Home Alone. Sadly, I arrived at my gate at exactly the time the flight was taking off. I made my way to the rebooking phone, thinking I was going to wait like 5 hours to get on a flight. The woman actually got me a flight two hours later, or so I thought. I sat and waited my two hours, low and behold, the flight doesn’t start boarding. I believe I waited, what, 3 and a half hours? Then, I finally get on (Priority Aaccess, no doubt (sic)). I’m feeling good cause I’m finally on my way there, and a 350 pound man sits next to me. No offence, but that guy needed to buy two seats. Poor me was plastered against the window, and I left the plane with a cramped leg and thigh from leaning over. Oh well.

Anyway, I’ll be here at Dad’s until the 30th, then I go back home for a few days. Spend New Years with Alissa, and get ready for Admissions Ambassador Training!! (I hope I’m excited with a good reason…)

Until next time…

So…Full…

So I’m sitting in the Student Congress office, stuffing my face full of Lebanese Food. We’re celebrating, but then again not the departure of Steve Clark as our student body president. Jen and a few others coordinated the surprise party for him after our meeting today. We had noisemakers, balloons, a cake and a ton of food.

But I’ve basically gone nearly 12 hours without my phone, because I think I accidentally left it in Cassandra’s car…it really is a miracle. I can’t wait to go home Wednesday, though. This break is really needed.

Cincinatti & Atlanta in like…3 weeks!!

Busy Weekend…

// November 24th, 2008 // No Comments » // Life

This weekend was busy and great, at the same time. It really proves that your college years are some of the best you can ever experience.

Friday

So I woke up around 10pm which is always great. I took a shower, went to lunch, then head over to Leadership Challenge. Had Omar from CMI come over, and give a really inspirational story from the 90’s when he was a student at Oakland. Then, Cassandra and I went down to the OUSC office. I did some work, then we eventually resorted to going on the Nordstrom website. We left and took a break at our dorms, then left to go volunteer at the CollegeHumor Live! Comedy Tour. That was pretty great, I was just surprised that many people didn’t show up. After that, we headed over to Chanele’s to watch a movie called “The Power of One.” We only got through like half of it before Shaina had to leave, but it was fun. She made kettle corn, and we played with her kittens. Then Cassandra and I decided to head over to Tom’s party. That was really fun, driving out with Amber and Jackie to McDonalds and stuff. We slept there until about 7am which leads me to…

Saturday!

After getting home and sleeping until 1pm, this day went by really slow. I was just chillin out, not really doing much. It got fun later at night though, Jeff came back, Tom came out from the “party” that I was *invited* to. (Yeah, right! :P) But yeah basically everyone was fooling around. I decided to go to bed at like 3 in the morning, and then was woken up by the sounds of people banging on my suitemate’s door. I really loved how I peek out there, and was like instantly blamed. Then my suitemate James, reiterated from the last time this happened that he was going to (pardon my french) “Blow somebody shit out” if they happen to do it again. Oh well.

Sunday!

This was the really crazy day. I start out by waking up at 10am, taking a shower, and getting breakfast at the cafeteria. Cassandra and I went to church together with her Sister and Mom. After, we ventured to the self car wash where I gave her PT Cruiser a nice scrub. We then went to her old high school, Marian to see a production of Fools. It was pretty good, I was really impressed with how they did it. After that, we head over to Somerset to go to Nordstrom. We eventually ate dinner at Sabarro, then head over there. Man, did I see a ton of things that I wanted. She got a scarf and some makeup, and we left to go to church again. We went to the evening mass at the Baptist church over on Livernois, and promptly left after service was over to go bowling. Bowling was really fun, we had like 20 people there. We were basicaly forced to play 6 games because we would have had to pay more if we played under that. It took us almost five hours. It was crazy.

And now here I am, typing this up half dead. I think I’m gonna go pass out…

Ahh! So exciting!

Summer is going by so fast, and I’m loving every minute of it! From Alissa and Natalee being up here for the weekend, to the many visits to Club Bleu, to Cedar Point, doing college things… It’s just been a blast. One more week of it, then the real fun starts: college!

Labor Day weekend is going to be crazy, from moving in, to the barbeques, to meetings. I’m even excited to go to class on the 2nd, but I’m sure that will wear off easily.
Time to go do the website now! :)

Opportunities Abound!

// July 21st, 2008 // No Comments » // Life

Summer has been going pretty good so far. I’ve been to Cedar Point already, so that makes things better. Planning on going back with Marina and them later in August.

The two biggest things on my mind right now, are Alissa’s visit in August, and possibly working with her at the EPA in May 2009. For the former, we’re planning on going to Great Lakes Crossing and Canturbery Village. Then, the second day she’s here, we’re going to visit The Henry Ford and be VIPs at the Starkillers concert at Club Bleu that night. What a great day! Last day, we’re just going to hang around R-Ville…who knows what we’ll be up to.

So yeah, everythings going good. I’m pretty sure I’m going to open a credit card to pay for books, because buying them 10 days before the semester starts isn’t a good idea.

Just Be Done Already!

Finally! School is coming to a close, and I’m really excited. Sure, I was pretty bummed out a few weeks ago, but I’m just ready to get out now. I want to go to college, and stop all this busy work-nonsense and drama that comes in the high school package. Besides, the real best years of your life are spent in college!

Anyway, I guess I’m just finishing up some last minute stuff here. Doing some MOS Excel work, just because I loved to fuck around every day in class. No biggie, takes me an hour without distractions, what would be 5 with. Just have to finalize memorizing my monologue, and look up some terms for AP History. After all that, I’ll fill out these senior pictures and call it a night.

Here’s to the night! ;)

P.S.: Blogging with Microsoft Word is surprizingly easy…

My First Contest Win?

// May 17th, 2008 // No Comments » // Uncategorized

Well, ever since I turned 18, I’ve been obsessed with entering as many contests as I can. I’ve been at it for about a month, and haven’t won anything so far. UNTIL NOW. Anyway, I’ve always heard from the other contest fanatics to never give up. I see how much stuff they get in a year, and it keeps me going.

I spent about 20 minutes today playing this one game, until I won a free bag of candy. I know, waste of time, right?

Anyway, back to winning more contests! :)

Youth in Revolt

// May 4th, 2008 // No Comments » // Life

So today, I auditioned for a role in the upcoming movie, Youth in Revolt. I’m so excited that an opportunity like this has come around, because being in the movie business has always been a dream of mine. I wanted to be the person on the screen that millions of people were watching.

So who knows what’s going to happen. If I get something even somewhat major in this film, I might change my major. I’m not 100% sure what I could get a degree in, but I digress.

Basically life is amazing, thanks God. :)
